Our Software Engineers are tasked with creating and building maintainable, reliable software that always meets performance and quality standards. As Technical Team Lead, you’ll be the person who ensures they deliver to those standards, managing their goals and acting as an inspirational technical guide.
Ideal skills
Our Technical Team Leads manage the Software Engineers, including working towards project goals and being the go-to technical guides for the whole team. You’ll need:
• To be able to influence your team by demonstrating technical credibility
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
• To be comfortable directly managing a team
• Experience in actively writing code, and running reviews and unit testing
Key responsibilities
• Making sure existing systems are maintained, supported and enhanced to the highest standards by the team
• Leading, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure they work in-line with development processes and create first-rate technical documentation and guides
• Not just taking part in, but motivating others to adopt Agile processes – even leading Agile ceremonies when needed
• Analysing, building and developing new products and features to production standards
• Line and performance management, including one-to-ones
