How will you make a difference:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with five or more years experience that wants to take his or her career to the next level and become a Software Architect working on internal and client-facing web platform projects. We offer an exciting, forward-thinking Silicon Valley-style environment, working with some of the biggest corporations and most innovative startups in the world. The position will be located in Valencia and will report directly to the Director of Application Development.
As a Senior Software Engineer and Architect, you will be responsible for architecting and designing the future of our full-stack innovation software using the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices.
You will be doing so as part of an international team of designers and developers. Moreover, you will be working on a brand new initiative at Plug and Play – a software that will underpin the entire company.
Hard skills:
• Five or more years of experience as a senior software engineer in a software-focused company.
• Knowledge of our technology stack is preferable, but the right candidate will be able to adapt and will be trained in new technologies.
• Ability to enhance our existing solutions and architect new ones that are both flexible and scalable.
• Proven knowledge of Service-Oriented Architectures, patterns and tooling are required.
• Suggest and implement solutions for SDLC process improvement.
• Ability to implement a metric system that will provide us with true insights into the usage, health, and cost of our technology stack.
Soft skills:
• An optimistic and open-minded doer willing to adopt new approaches and technologies while ensuring that they are effectively put to work within our stack.
• Support the team in our journey to become a DevOps workshop.
• Capacity to coach and mentor our junior software engineers.
