Descripción: As a DevOps Engineer, you have experience in working in an agile environment and have already worked as a business & technical consultant with business partners. As a key driver on BASF´s path of digitalization, you support existing products and initiative as well as innovate additional digital solutions that supports BASF´s global businesses.
You will be part of the group Knowledge Architecture & Innovation, an interdisciplinary team of experts addressing challenges in natural language processing, information extraction and retrieval, knowledge representation in graphs and search technology at large scale to build powerful knowledge applications based on latest methods and technologies.
– Design and manage the architecture of our large-scale scientific knowledge system; ensure architecture compliance of the implementation
– Closely collaborate with the product team to understand demand and content, work out and implement new features enabling dynamic, fast and insightful interaction with data
– Capture and structure functional and non-functional requirements and translate those into a system architecture that is cost-efficient in implementation and operation
– Be excited about new technological developments with sound judgement of maturity; actively assess and integrate improved tools and frameworks to increase user experience and drive efficiency by maximizing automation to avoid costly administrative tasks
– Deliver high quality system designs in accordance with best practices and design patterns, proven by comprehensive automated test cases
– Ensure high quality code optimized for high security and maximum performance processing large and complex data on thousands of cores in our cloud environment
