Descripción: As a DevOps Engineer, you have experience in working in an agile environment and have already worked as a business & technical consultant with business partners. As a key driver on BASF´s path of digitalization, you support existing products and initiative as well as innovate additional digital solutions that supports BASF´s global businesses.
Role specific activities (what is expected of you as an employee)
You will take an active role in specification, design, implementation and support of software and applications in our unit Data Enablement Platform – Business Intelligence which develops and runs BASF specific software for Business Intelligence (BI).
Your focus is on an – individually agreed – subset of the following areas:
– Consulting in technical topics and creation of technical concepts based on business requirements for projects and change requests in close cooperation with our business units
– Software development (or steering of development by others) in cooperation with internal colleagues worldwide or external providers
– Continuous maintenance, quality assurance activities and testing of applications, contribution to support concepts as well as providing an uninterrupted operation of applications
What we expect – Required (Education, Additional Qualifications and experience)
– Bachelor / master´s degree in information technology or business science with focus on IT with at least 8 years´ experience on the job
– At least 8 years of experience developing applications in database- or application development
– In addition to your strong interest in technical areas you also have a strong desire to understand the business background of applications and are interested in creating business intelligence applications together with the business users
– You can communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
A working knowledge of German or Portuguese is an advantage.
– You are interested working in international teams and have good analytical skills and a high degree of customer and service orientation
– Prior experience in business intelligence is and advantage but no prerequisite
