Responsibilities
Contribute to develops APIs and modern backend systems identifying the requirements and standards
– Develops the architecture and implementation processes of a high-performance, stable and high-scale backend
– Reviews implementation processes in terms of coding conventions and architecture
– Drives the refactoring of legacy implementations
Architect, implement, and continuously improve our overarching CI/CD strategy that includes source code control, build pipelines, test automation, deployments, and the management of our documentation and process assets
Guides and coaches other colleagues to help solve technical/engineering problems at an operational level, and in methodologies to help improve development processes
Profile
– 5+ years´ experience in engineering/tech roles and building digital products in agile environments
– Strong expertise in working with functional programming languages and distributed, scalable and resilient micro-service landscapes while retaining a hands-on approach
– Highly experienced in maintaining the lifecycle of high-scale public and internal APIs including their design, implementation and depreciation
– Experience with various testing strategies of distributed systems
– Advanced coding skills and experience with implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS)
– Experience working with teams that use DevOps methods and continuous delivery focusing on rapid customer value
– Several years´ experience developing and coaching other colleagues (junior)
– Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
– Passionate about current trends in software design, architecture and web services
Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
– English
– Use of code repositories (e.g. Microsoft Team Foundation Services -TFS)
Expert knowledge of:
– .NET Core
– .NET (C#) in their latest versions of: MVC, Windows services, WCF, ResTful/SOAP Web services, Entity framework (Migrations), injection of dependencies, signal-R.
– Principles and Design Patterns (SOLID, KISS, DRY, Creational, Structural, Behavioral…)
– SQL databases (postgresql, sql server, mysql)
– Javascript
– Message-broker: rabbitmq, kafka. Others like activemq would be valued
– Development of interfaces based on webservices, caches, etc, in order to deliver data in real time to the front end. Experience in backend development to serve data to frontend implemented in Angular would be valued.
– Advanced knowledge of DevOps tools (CI/CD): Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc
– Solid understanding and application of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts.
