Descripción: Are you an experienced Performance Engineer?
Do you want to work as an integral part of the business testing our application to its highest limits and troubleshooting to identify performance issues and identifying bottle-necks in the system? If so then please read on!
The role will involve:
· Identifies metrics (response times, throughput (transactions per second), and resource-utilization levels) that can be used to determine user satisfaction
· Identifies and captures performance-testing objectives to determine or improve quality of the application
· Identifies performance targets – values for metrics under a particular set of conditions
· Identifies current performance thresholds (maximum acceptable values for metrics)
· Reports findings and defects according to a department defined process.
· Develops data driven test automation scripts and executes performance and load testing of products
· Uses Load and Performance Tool to design and execute load and performance tests
against Web applications, Services and SQL Server.
· Designs and executes daily load BVTs as well as larger, system level tests
· Tests software installation and Verification of any Performance issues.
· Completes Test trouble shooting, Issue identification and root cause analysis.
· Completes reusable and consistent Data Creation and management
· Evaluates the logical and physical architecture
· Identifies environment required to do performance testing, ensuring the system is up to date.
· Trouble-shoots and set up environment for performance testing
· Installs new releases of software in the load and performance environment
You will need:
· 5+ years Software Testing Experience, with a minimum of 2 years Performance Testing
· Knowledge of industry performance standards, performance bottlenecks and web performance measures
· Sound theoretical knowledge of systems (.NET is a plus) and architecture, Queuing Theory and networking
· Programming/scripting experience with LoadRunner VUGen. Gatling or JMeter are a plus.
· Experience of various operating systems to include Windows & Unix.
· Database knowledge to include SQL and Postgres
· Previous experience with any of the following monitoring technologies: Grafana, Splunk, Nagios, ELK
