Descripción: We are currently selecting for a international company (Finance – Real Estate sector) an Infrastructure & Applications Manager for their offices in Madrid .
Job purpose: Responsibility for the smooth operation and maintenance of the IT systems of the company and management of the IT suppliers
Key Responsibilities:
Day to day management of internal hardware (servers, desktops, printers, phones, firewalls, internet, PCs, DR and Backup systems etc.,) and software
Monitoring of systems to ensure everything is working correctly and identification and solving of any issues that arise
Administration of company systems (Windows 10/Windows Server/VMWare/Linux) network, Firewall, backup solutions and application software (Dynamics CRM, Office 365)
Management and negotiation with hardware, software and service suppliers for the company
IT hardware and licence purchasing and management
Liaising with building managers where necessary
Line management of one Infrastructure Technician
Administration of SQL Server database servers (this is not a DBA role, but basic management of the servers will be necessary)
Proactively making suggestions and seeking solutions to improve operation of productivity for the company
Experience Essential
Excellent written and spoken English in a commercial environment
5+ years of infrastructure and supplier management
Detailed knowledge of VMWare
Windows Server domain administration
Active Directory and Group Policies
Replication and clustering technologies (e.g. DFS)
SQL Server (from a database backup/restore /maintenance perspective)
Network monitoring
