The IP Network Engineer Level 3 will be responsible for the design, configuration, management, implementation and support of our client´s IP network deployment in Tokyo 2020, this will require a strong background on networking switching protocols, routing protocols and related technologies.
Technical Skills:
• Expert knowledge on IP Routing Protocols;
• Deep knowledge on Layer 3 routing technologies;
• Deep knowledge on Layer 2 switching technologies;
• Hand-on experience in Network solutions design & configuration, with emphasis on of edge multi-homing BGP, campus deployments, switching technologies and security;
• Multiple network technology exposure – TCP/IP, Ethernet, MPLS, VLANS and Switching IP network design hand-on experience. Master QoS Network Design and Implementation;
• Network services: DHCP, DNS;
• Knowledge of SDN, Virtualization, NFV applicability to an IP environment;
• Knowledge of Linux and Virtual Platforms;
• Able to work in a multicultural environment;
• Strong written and Excellent verbal communication skills
• Familiar with Transmission over Optic Fibre (SDH/DWDM/OTN) and Satellite/Compression technologies
• Experience in Master Control operations

Duties/Responsibilities
• Analysis and assessment and improvement of the proposed networking solutions for the services offered within the IP transmission
• Analysis and assessment of the best technological alternatives, hardware compatibility and software requirements for the given architecture;• Plan and execute in depth technical activity, providing technical insight and guidance to others;
• Design and deployment of the related IP Network monitoring systems;
• Development and implementation of the related security and privacy policies to protect the information assets.
• Coordinate the deployment and installation of all hardware and related items for the IP solution architecture;
• Follow-up with service partners on field installation, testing, acceptance and operations & maintenance plans;
• Build, optimise and apply configurations according to the solution design;
• Top level support, troubleshooting and ownership for technical issues on the IP network infrastructure deployment in Tokyo 2020;
• Supporting the first level networking team in the identification of technical issues and effective communication coordination;
• Supporting the wider transmission team with knowledge share, documentation, team meetings and general contribution;
• Liaison for technical support and queries related to IP network services, including cloud services.The operations will take place on a 24 hours’ basis and therefore the role assumes 3 shifts of 8 hours per day.
