We are looking for a Data Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on development of our data driven projects. This role will lead the charge for selecting and implementing the right technologies and infrastructure for data warehousing, analytic reporting, recommendation engines and analytics engines based on business requirements and best practices.
We are located in Girona and we offer a position in this city.
As data engineer you will be requested to work in a variety of capacities along the entire data pipeline ¿ from working with the raw data, perfecting it, all the way to building APIs for developer access.
What you´ll be doing:
– Develop, construct, test, and maintain architecture. Such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
– Build distributed, scalable, and reliable data pipelines that ingest and process data at scale and in real-time.
-Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices
– Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts
– Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
– Develop data set processes for data modelling, mining and production
– Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures
– Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to marry systems together
– Install and update disaster recovery procedures
– Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
– Collaborate with data architects, modellers and IT team members on project goals
– Implement simulation and optimization algorithms to provide business partners the ability to determine the best scenario.
