In AKKA Technologies, we are looking for a DATABASE INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNICAL LEAD
Main responsibilities: support the back office global infrastructure and providing solutions to increase operational efficiencies and project delivery in database infrastructure area and related services.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead and prioritize database projects, and manage team task assignments
• Ensure appropriate coverage for database infrastructure support in the company
• Develop, implement and communicate database best practices
• Oversee the development and organization of databases, including the design, deployment and documentation of standard build and configuration settings for supported DBMS in mixed OLTP and decision-support consolidated environments
• Create and implement uniform maintenance and monitoring procedures across multiple versions of MS SQL, Oracle Server and others
• Manage logical database security and access, and ensure the information in all database servers is protected
• Provide database support for the annual company-wide disaster recovery test and retest, as required
Profile:
• Strong knowledge of multiple database platforms, Oracle, MS SQL, My SQL, and Postgres and excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with nosql environments, Hadoop, data lakes, and hardware specifications for this technology
• Experience in VMWare, RH Linux, Solaris, HPUX, and other linux operating systems, storage arrays (HDS, EMC), SAN storage (Brocade)
• Knowledge in file system management, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SAP Systems
