From the Hays Enginnering division in Bilbao we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader and Project Manager to be part of an Important company located in Gupuzkoa.

ROLE

– Continuous Improvement Leader – Provide leadership, management direction and execution for the deployment of Corporate Continuous Improvement System ensuring transformational gains in leadership, safety, quality, productivity, and capability, through the successful deployment of lean and 6 sigma initiatives.
– Project Manager – Responsible for managing key projects from conception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. As project manager, this position will be responsible for coordinating with other team members as well as external parties.

Responsibilities

– Lead the development of a continuous improvement culture.

– “IMPACT” system oversite, training, and deployment for the Plant.
– Ensure that the continuous improvement strategy aligns with companie´s strategic objectives.
– Coordinate project selection and prioritization and assists in the chartering/scoping of kaizens and improvement projects
– Develop and maintain a strong relationship/communication strategy with all (plant) employees driving engagement throughout the organization. Facilitate cross-facility

Measures of Performance

– Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost improvements directly related to Kaizen sessions and indirectly related to overall company performance. This is a self-funding position.
– Reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (Internal, External and scrap)
– Lead time reduction and Service Level Improvement (OTIF)
– Working capital optimization / Inventory turns
– Projects completed within time and budget

Background and Skills

– Spanish native language
– English proficiency level
– Advanced degree in Engineering or Science
– Thorough knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing tools and philosophy required
– Working knowledge and understanding of six sigma tools would be beneficial.
– Demonstrated ability to utilize continuous improvement to drive tangible results
– Excellent communication and instruction skills
– Hands-on experience implementing Lean manufacturing concepts
– Good computer skills (data analysis, ERP)
– Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
– Ability to train associates effectively, facilitate groups, and lead multi-functional resources in a fact based, results-oriented environment required.
– Ability to effectively lead a team to achieve sustainable improvements.
– Experience with statistical concepts and process monitoring recommended
– Thorough understanding of product design and manufacture
