Descripción: Our client, one of the leading Global German pharmaceutical companies headquartered and operating worldwide, is looking for a Big Data Architect (ODL Data Services) for their HQ in Barcelona.
Your main roles and responsibilities will be designing the architecture and data model within Big Data Environments, contributing and guiding project teams on big data practices, managing implementation projects of the data management framework.
Big Data Architect will be in charge of defining guidelines and best practices naming conventions and structures to ensure overall development coherence, providing technical support and technical guidance of Big Data solutions, problem management for technical and design topics and striving for re-usability of pieces of software and frameworks. Software development background with at least 7 years´ experience in Big Data (Hadoop Ecosystem) and hands-on utilizing and programming jobs within MapR and Amazon EMR distributions. Proven practical experience in using ETLs and other data wrangling tools using Agile methodologies.
Expert knowledge in architecture, data models and design patterns of Big Data implementations. Hands-on experience with big data tools/framework as well as with SQL and NoSQL databases Oracle, PostgreSQL, Exasol, Cassandra, HBase.
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or similar, excellent spoken and written English skills, willing to travel and a proven record in delivering value from Information Technology in highly regulated sectors. The candidate should demonstrate agility and ability to work under pressure and be able to manage conflicts.
