They currently have offices in New York, Boston, London, Singapore, Sydney and they just open there new Global Data Hub¡.in Barcelona! This new opening is a strategic project for our client in order to hold their growth.
There have a number of exciting projects involving visualization, data representation and reporting underway or starting.
Their ETL gathers data from their own pixel trackers, and uses 3rd party data sources to build complete browsing histories of users. This data is then fed into their data lake and warehouse, where several processes extract value from it. To give a sense of scale, our client consumes around 7 billion event lines each month. They need to extract as much value from the data as possible, meaning they need innovative reports, data visualisations and exploration ideas. They also report back to their clients, and they want these to be best in their industry.
You will work as part of the data team, and the rest of the engineering team, to work in the areas mentioned above. You will help improve the reporting, visualisation and exploration capabilities of our client´s systems. As a BI engineer, you will partner with product and business teams and collaborate with the rest of the data team to make high impact decisions based on data.
What we need from you:
– We expect you to have knowledge on data wrangling, data analysis and visualisation.
– Experience in building beautiful dashboards and visualisations.
– Experience working with any BI tool (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, Looker¡)
– Experience designing and executing ad-hoc analysis and presenting the results in a clear and useful way.
– Experience working with product teams to gather requirements.
– Not to be afraid of getting your hands dirty building and maintaining high quality ETLs and data pipelines would be a plus.
– Good knowledge of SQL.
– Open to collaboration with the rest of the team.
