Our client, important FMCG multinational, in order to complete their IT Platforms Department, we are currently looking for a Cloud Systems Architect for their Global Hub located in Barcelona.
The position requires a strong emphasis on designing technical solutions and presentation skills of Cloud technologies including LAMP stack, Azure/GCP and/or AWS, Kubernetes and scripting and IaC, and, in addition, understanding of basic concepts of Networking, VPN, DNS, NAT, Security and Web hosting mindset.
As a Cloud Systems Architect you will be empowered to work directly with Nestlé´s suppliers as well as internal Architecture and Integration teams and Operations staff. As the company´s internal Service provider we can offer hybrid solutions encompassing public clouds, private clouds, colocation services, content delivery networks, block-based cloud storage, web application firewall, etc. to our markets. Their team of experts is expected to be leaders in the field of Cloud Computing, Data Center technologies and Internet technologies. Key responsibilities
Drive platform innovation and exploit automation
Have a mindset of continuous innovation, continuous learning and improving
Drive upgrades, improvement initiatives and innovation proposals for the IT Platforms area
Coordinate the delivery of the designed and purchased solution to the company markets ensuring those meet Digital Asset Hosting standards and transition of the solution to sustain and operational teams
Support the company markets in designing solutions from IT suppliers in a managed competition environment following latest technology trends, RFQ/RFP process in the best interest of the company
Define Operational requirements and gaps for new and existing solutions.
Internally, the Cloud Systems Architect is the company´s markets interface for IT suppliers and the operational staff across the organization.
Collaborate with Product Owner in the Infrastructure area, other IT Teams and the suppliers to eliminate root causes/escalations
Required Profile
Bachelor´s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
10 years of overall experience in IT Infrastructure and at least 1-3 years of demonstrable experience with cloud architecture – especially Azure, AWS and/or GCP (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS) in terms of configuration, sizing, performance and with focus on scalability, security and integration challenges. If you are an expert in another cloud platform other than Azure but you want to learn it, it can help us!
At least 1 years of demonstrable experience in architecture for large scale digital channels, working with IT Operations, Managed Hosting or Cloud Computing required
Cloud certifications highly desirable
Devops and agile principles work environment experience is a must
Deep understanding of web, eCommerce, B2C, social and mobile applications: how they function, interact and ultimately how to protect them
Experience in architecting Hosting infrastructure to include Enterprise Networking, Servers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, IP Connectivity and SAN Storage
PaaS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Serverless experience is a plus
Strong understanding of security aspects of hosting infrastructure and web, eCommerce, B2B/B2C, social and mobile applications
Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and at all levels within the organization
Ability to write and defend technical business proposals
Confident and refined sales acumen and the ability to exert influence appropriately
Self-reliant and takes initiative to get things done without having to rely on others for minimal guidance
Fluent in English.
