OVERVIEW
The Analyst/Programmer (AP) will be responsible for owning the overall design, build and run of local solutions and applications. With a strong technical background, particularly in implementing web applications, the AP will need to be able to understand business requirements and map them to system/technical solutions as well as recommending best practices. With strong focus on service management, the AP will ensure that level of support on existing applications is provided as expected, including both corrective and evolutive aspects. Ideally the AP is engaged in best practice development and maintenance initiatives, provides thoughtful leadership, and familiarity with proven solutions that support both local and global objectives. He/she works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members and users
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software engineering
– Performs research and interviews to determine IT business requirements and then translate such into specifications for technical projects
– Designs, builds, tests and deploys software solutions according to business requirements.
– Follows the software development lifecycle
– Assists in business Change Management activities
– Effectively communicates with and supervises third-parties team
– Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Application management
– Provide support to assigned list of applications and their interfaces
– Support IT team to handle Incidents and Requests to achieve overall IT resolution objectives
– Prepare relevant documentation for support
– Document the key IT processes as well as business critical components of the school
– Liaise with third-parties for fulfilment of support activities
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
– Technical degree, ideally in IT domain
– 4+ years overall IT-related experience, ideally in top consulting companies
– Strong competence in developing web applications (PHP skills is a MUST)
– Proven knowledge of application integration (API, Webservices)
– Solid knowledge of packaged solutions (ERP, CRM, BI, etc)
– Familiar with IT Service Management tools and processes
– Strong communication skills, including prioritizing, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building
– Ability to work autonomously throughout the entire solution life cycle, from business requirements gathering to implementation
– Ability to learn quickly and think creatively
– Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
– Excellent level of English (minimum B2 or equivalent)
– Experience in Education sector is a plus
