What will I have to do?
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a technology project across our worldwide DMC network, to ensure the most efficient and effective implementation in support of the business priorities.
You will be the key interface between Technology and the Business, responsible for working with the business on scoping and prioritising project requirements, and then with the internal and external Technology teams to deliver them.
You will be working with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will require strong stakeholder engagement and speak on a level with both technology teams and the business.
Main Responsibilities
– Project Managing all aspects of successful delivery from initial capture, scoping, and planning to enabling efficient development, benefits realisation, stakeholder management and driving the delivery
– Leading and coordinating all development activities of internal and external technology partners, to agreed timelines, quality and budget.
– Management of any business and technical dependencies between any development partners, internal and external, and the relevant systems.
– Gathering business requirements, joining the business review and requirements sign off once delivered.
– Attending project meetings, including regular travel mainly within Europe to DMCs and external technology partners.
– Working with a project team and the business lead, as well as a wide range of stakeholders, and ensuring regular communication.
– Build relationships and delivery management with 3rd party providers where appropriate and required
What are we looking for?
– Temporary role for duration of the project, approx. 2 years
– Entry date as soon as possible
– Excellent delivery leadership skills that drive confidence in both our teams and external partners
– Experience working on large-scale technology projects/programmes in a Technical Project Management or Delivery role, ideally within the travel sector
– Experience in leading a cross functional technical and business team to deliver technology projects and in delivering within multiple methodologies and frameworks
– Experience in requirements engineering, system development and working with external technology partners
– A good understanding of the travel/DMC sector, its operational and system processes
– Strong technical acumen with an understanding of core technologies
– Certification in project management methodology
– Excellent communication, both written and verbally, and proven capability of interfacing with senior leadership teams
– A can-do attitude that drives the teams towards the goal, and a mindset of complete ownership of successful delivery, solving problems and constructively challenging and supporting all project stakeholders
– Excellent English language skills, both written and verbally. German language skills a bonus.
– Ability to travel, even for longer periods, nationally and internationally.
