Descripción: Arelance is looking for a Technical Application Engineer to be part of our client´s international team in Málaga.
As a member of their international Technical Operations team, your primary task is to maintain their high standard Linux-based infrastructure which services all their sister-companies across Europe, and the services that they provide. You collect information, map all interfaces and write dependencies and documentation. You plan their capacity, and make sure they are up to date. Of course, you judge and process requests of your (internal) customers making sure the Enreach operations run smoothly. They are looking for an experienced Technical Application Engineer who is able to work independently and in a team on the various challenges that come on our path.
Other tasks may include
– Implementing and maintaining Linux-based application environments
– Performing periodic recovery and fail-over tests
– Handling operational incidents, changes and questions for existing applications
– Taking part in projects for implementing new applications & infrastructures
Job requirements:
– At least 2 years of experience with managing one or more applications, consisting of multiple components spanning several servers, including high availability
– Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
– Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
– Willing to participate in an on-call schedule
– Indepth knowledge of the Linux Operating system
– Experience with at least one scripting language like Bash, PHP, Python, etc.
– Analytical skills to be able to figure out the root cause of any technical problem you encounter
– Experience with a number of Open Source Software applications (for example Apache2, Nginx, Postfix, MySQL, Heartbeat, DRBD, Zabbix)
Nice to Have
– Some experience with containers (docker, lxc, etc)
– We use ansible to deploy infrastructure and applications, so experience is highly recommended
– Git
– Experience with the Atlassian suite (we use Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence)
– Knowledge of TCP/IP
– Experience with load balancing (experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers is a plus)
