Your new role We are looking for a Senior Mathematician with expertise in Mathematics and T-SQL. This role will play a crucial part in developing and optimising the most important application. That is the central data hub and backbone connecting the company´s E-Commerce systems.A critical aspect of that app is the pricing engine module, which demands advanced mathematical skills to compute millions of customer-specific product prices for other E-Commerce systems within a short timeframe.
Tasks
– Utilise advanced mathematical algorithms and T-SQL queries to design and implement stable, reliable, and efficient data transformations, especially within the pricing module.
– Apply mathematical expertise to optimise, maintain, and upgrade the application.
– Develop high-quality database solutions, implement complex T-SQL queries, and create procedures for importing, processing, and exporting data.
– Make recommendations on architectural landscapes, considering the intricate mathematical requirements.
– Troubleshoot and resolve database usage issues and malfunctions, leveraging strong mathematical skills.
What will you need to fit into it?
– 10 + years of relevant work experience.
– Bachelor´s Degree in Physics, Mathematics or similar
– Strong background in Mathematics, and knowledge of T-SQL.
– Strong expertise in making complex calculations and applying mathematical principles to database development.
– Capable of speaking with stakeholders (perfect communications skills)
– Nice to have knowledge of:
Azure DevOps, Git version control, PowerShell scripting, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) are beneficial.
– Nice to have experience with:
Performance tuning strategies like indexing and understanding and optimising SQL servers´ internal query plans.
