Descripción: Telecom2 is a Business to Business telecommunications group offering services across various technology sectors. Having already commercial presence in Spain, we are now looking to expand our technical team with a new location in Madrid.

We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer (SDET) in Test to join our new team in Madrid, and work on our products across various sectors of our group (Telecoms, Payment gateways, CRMs, Back-office platforms, Age verification, Media streaming, etc).

You should have a can-do attitude and eagerness to work and make an impact. If you are eager to learn new things, and work on a variety of established products, then the Telecom2 group is the place for you. You will be working as part of a technical team across London and Madrid within a fast-paced, fun, challenging and creative environment.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test in our team, you will:
– Work across multiple teams and products
– Help us introduce automation in our development pipelines across a variety of products
– Write test cases, and code the actual tests (We are currently using Cypress)
– Familiarise yourself with all stages of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment – Nothing is off limits and we encourage the team to know as much as possible about each product
– Take part in code review sessions and come up with recommendations to improve the software development lifecycle
– Perform both Black and White box testing – This means that you must have a good understanding of algorithms and data structures

Required Skills:
– Very good written and spoken English
– Education or a proven professional track related to software science / development / engineering / testing or relevant field
– Good knowledge of at least one modern programming language (for example: PHP, Java, Javascript, Python, etc) – You must be able to read and understand code, as well as write code as part of your role
– At least one year of hands on industry experience in a relevant role
– Experience with manual testing
– At least some experience with automated testing
– Experience writing scripts for automation testing
– Experience working with tools like Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, PHPUnit, PhantomJS, etc
– Ability to communicate clearly at a technical and end-user level
– Good documentation skills

Great to have experience with:
– Stress / load testing
– Security testing
– The Linux CLI

Desirable personal skills:
– Team player, dependable and able to learn on the job
– Enthusiasm for learning and using new technologies
– Good communication and cooperation skills
– Ability to take charge of your time and prioritise problems to solve

Starting salary depends on experience and current skill set.
