We are collaborating with a German multinational company, with a large international presence and in full expansion.
We are looking for a professional with experience in IP and optical networks to join the company.
Role description:
– Develop concepts for IP and optical networking and be responsible for integration of these technologies in existing IP and optical networks.
– Develop concepts for the integration of management systems of IP and optical equipment in OSS landscape, as well as automation based on Yang models.
– Elaborate and assess technical solutions for optical networks as DWDM, long haul, wide area networks.
– Elaborate and assess technical solutions for regional optical networks, metro optical networks, CDWM, fibre point-to-point, passive optical links, FTTH, GPON networks.
– Elaborate and assess technical solutions for IP routing technologies as IPoWDM, IP routing, Segment Routing, QoS traffic steering, and IP resilience of IP networks.
– Work with suppliers focusing on the integration of IP and Optical equipment in lab and close to production environments.
– Develop concepts for IP and Optical networking based on IETF, BBF, ITU, OIF and MEF standards, build of lab prototypes and drive its implementation in projects.
– Development of scripts for automation of deployment scenarios for IP routers and optical equipment for WAN and data center infrastructure based on Yang models.
Training and job experience:
– University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, information systems, physics or equivalent.
– Large service provider (ISP, Telco or Consulting) experience.
– 10 years´ experience in designing IP and Optical networks based on large up equipment vendors for service providers.
– Experience in deploying IP and Optical solutions from suppliers, particularly with focus on integrating it in an existing landscape.
