Job summary
Their current project is the largest referral index for youngsters in the Netherlands, and has approximately 40.000 active users. Its goal is to make sure that organizations involved with young people that are in trouble in the Netherlands are stimulated to cooperate with each other in a better way.
This web application has originally been developed in Java using the Apache Wicket framework. They are removing Wicket from the entire application now and replacing it with a React.JS frontend in combination with a GraphQL backend.
What kind of person are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Java developer to join an international team. You will be working closely together with several developers and the product owner based in two countries. New features to be developed will be briefed in detail using Jira. We encourage sparring within the team on approaches how those features should be implemented.
You like to dive into a product, become an expert and want to continuously improve your own coding skills.
What qualifications are we looking for?
• React.JS
• Java 8+
• Spring (Boot)
• Some experience with GraphQL is a plus
• Knowledge of object oriented principles and design patterns
• Good command of English
