Descripción: Our client, one of the leading Global German pharmaceutical companies is looking for a Data Knowledge Engineer for their HQ in Barcelona.
As a Data Knowledge Engineer your main duties will be modeling and leading the development of vocabularies, taxonomies, and ontologies for specific applications and use cases, developing approaches for enriching data by defining a graph-based structure and link it to other pieces of data and developing industry-standard techniques and technologies to make linked data principles more easily available to developers.
As part of your daily functions, you will collaborate in the adoption of emerging semantics and contribute to the definition of resource identifications (URI) and controlled vocabularies. The ideal candidate should have experience working with RDF/RDFS, OWL data model and semantic design principles, proven practical experience in Semantic Web initiatives, FAIR concepts and languages for querying RDF and RDBMS, solid knowledge with Triple Store databases (Stardog, GraphDB, MarkLogic) and experience with one or more metadata manipulation and scripting languages.
We are looking for a professional with at least 5 years´ experience in related business and IT consulting with a understanding of Big Data environment (Hadoop Ecosystem) and aligned technologies and profound understanding of the weaknesses and strength of the environment is a plus.
If you hold a Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Information Technology or similar, excellent spoken and written English skills, you are willing to travel and you are used to work under pressure, this might be your opportunity!
